Yes, we have re-branded ASD from ASD Las Vegas to ASD Market Week.
What does ASD stand for?
Originally “ASD” stood for “Associated Surplus Dealers” when the show was first established in 1961. Today, “ASD” stands for “Affordable Shopping Destination.”

Do I need to register for each ASD event separately?
Yes, you must register for each separate event so that we have the most current information for your business. Think of it as an RSVP to let us know you are coming to the show! Please check our website https://www.asdcultureplus.com for updates regarding registration information.
Who can attend?
This is a Trade only event – qualified buyers and industry professionals only. This show is NOT open to the public. ASD Market Week is a wholesale business to business marketplace. As this is a place of business, no one under the age of 16 is allowed on the show floor, no exceptions.
How do I register?
Click on the registration box at the upper right corner of this page. If registration happens to be closed for a particular show, you can sign up to receive an email reminder once registration is open.
What is the cost to attend?
There is no cost to attend as a qualified Buyer if you register before the show opens. There is however, an onsite registration fee for those buyers who wait and register onsite of $45.
What are the registration requirements?
To be qualified as a buyer you must provide a business license or sales tax ID# to prove you can purchase wholesale goods.
If you are registering onsite you will need to pay a $45 onsite registration fee and provide at least 2 of the following documents:
- Business license or Tax ID #
- Business card
- Resale certificate
- Company check or company credit card
How will I know I am registered?
Once you register online you will receive an automated email confirmation to confirm your registration. This confirmation will be sent to the email address you provided so it is very important for us to have your direct email address so you can receive your confirmation. If you register by fax or mail, you will only receive an email confirmation if you have completed all the required demographics and provided an email address.
When will I receive my badge?
BADGES WILL NOT BE MAILED. You must print and bring your confirmation page to the show site to print out your badge. Just like you do at the airline when you print your boarding pass.
Are hotel discounts being offered?
YES! ASD negotiates special hotel rates for our trade show. We encourage you to book your hotel at one of our official hotels. Note that ASD runs a free shuttle from our official hotels to the convention center on a daily basis to transport you back and forth to the show. What are the Show floor restrictions?
Below is a list of restrictions:
- Trade only event – not open to the general public, a person must be a qualified buyer to attend.
- There is a non-refundable onsite registration fee of $45 to those who have not pre-registered.
- NEW POLICY: Product(s) may not be removed from the show floor until 3 p.m. on the last day of the show. No exceptions. Please make your travel plans accordingly.
- No strollers or wheeled bags (larger than 18″ H x 12″ W) on the show floor at any time.
- No one under the age of 16 years of age is allowed on the show floor at any time. No exceptions.
- No outside food and beverage is allowed at the Las Vegas Convention Center
- No camera/video recorders at any time.
- No smoking.
- No pets or dogs (service animals exempt).
- Attendee hereby releases Emerald Expositions from any and all liability, claims, lawsuits, damages, losses, costs and expenses of any kind which arise out of/or result from attendee’s attendance at the event, whether or not foreseeable, including without limitation, personal injuries to exhibitor or his/her invitees.
Are there wheelchair and scooter rentals available at the show?
Yes. Scootaround is the exclusive scooter and wheelchair rental service of ASD. To reserve your equipment, call toll free 1.888.441.7575 or reserve online. Scootaround is located at the FedEx Office located in both the Central and South Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
For wheelchair accessible shuttles, attendees must call 310.466.6532 at least 60 minutes prior to desired pick up time. This service is available from 8:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and is only offered from hotels on our six shuttles routes.
American Disabilities Act
Emerald Expositions is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. In accordance with the ADA rules, attendees requiring specific aids or services must contact ASD in writing at least two weeks prior to the start date of any ASD tradeshow. Will there be a designated line for badge pick-up for disabled or handicapped attendees?
Yes, disabled or handicapped attendees can go to badge will-call terminal located in the Grand Lobby within Central Hall of the LVCC to pick up their badge(s). If you cannot locate the counter, please ask any member of our show staff for assistance.
How can I obtain a Visa letter invitation for the ASD show?
ASD will provide a visa letter for each attendee who requests it. Visit the International Visa page for more information.
Do you provide child care services?
No, ASD does not provide child care services. If you are looking for child care services, please check with your hotel for recommendation or visit Las Vegas Kids at lasvegaskids.net for information.

It’s important to plan ahead. Below is a checklist to help you prepare for your trip to ASD Market Week. Need more buyer resources before the show? Visit the pre-planning category on ASDblog.
- Make notes on your best-selling merchandise/products.
- Hold a meeting with your staff for their opinions and feedback.
- Read industry magazines for upcoming trends.
- Tear out sheets on products that catch your eye.
- Be a leader, not a follower! Know what is happening and selling in your area by doing your homework. Shop the local competition, making notes on price points and merchandise.
- Plan your o.t.b. (open to buy).
- Register online to attend ASD and to get important information about the show and the vendors that will be showing at the show.
- Make appointments to see vendors through ASD Matchmaking Services
- Search the vendor directory and make appointments with vendors via the attendee show planner. You can send exhibitors a direct message or plan a walking map of how you will walk the show, aisle by aisle.
- Re-sale certificate and tax id number.
- Projections, o.t.b. and calendar appointments.
- Business cards: keep them with you even during social events!
- Notebook, pens, and calculators.
- Order sheets.
- Mini stapler to staple cards to order sheets or cards into your notebook.
- Large tote bag for all line sheets and catalogs.
- Cell phone and charger.
- Laptop for checking e-mails and working orders at night. Most hotels have a business center where you can check e-mail as well.
AT THE SHOW
- Start early!
- Use the attendee show planner you printed out before the show, or pick up the ASD Directory to map out your day. Note the booths and vendors you want to see or with whom you have appointments.
- Walk row by row, floor by floor. You never know what you may find.
- Don’t be shy. If you see a busy booth, ask what time would be good for you to come back.
- Network: build a group of market friends that you can have lunch or dinner with and share experiences.
- Set a goal of visiting 10 new vendors per market.
- Write your order at the show! It can be overwhelming to try to do it when you get back home.
HELPFUL HINTS FOR BUYERS:
- DO NOT pay cash up-front.
- Check to see if the company is registered with the Better Business Bureau or another major business directory such as Dun & Bradstreet. You can also find these by checking with your local consumer affairs department or the State Attorney General. This will also tell you if the company in question has any complaints against them.
- Make sure that the company has a legitimate address; you will want to stay away from post office boxes.
- Make sure that a legitimate phone number is available for each company. You can test this by calling the number and talking to a real person. You can leave a message but you also should expect a phone call back in a timely manner.
- Check with the state that the company is based out of and make sure it is licensed within that state.
- Never do business with a company that wants you to make immediate decisions or offers you deals that are too good to be true.
- Use your own good judgment – more times than not your gut feeling will lead you in the right direction.
